LOS SANTOS — Questions are swirling tonight after a since-deleted social media story appeared to show Travis Barnett, a member of HPMS, posing aboard the yacht Dignity amid stacks of champagne and what several eyewitnesses describe as "an alarming quantity of loose cash."
The since-scrubbed post, captioned with a since-mocked hashtag referencing personal ego and blessings, was live for approximately four minutes before vanishing — a window several viewers say was more than enough time to screenshot, save, and forward to at least three group chats.
HPMS has not yet confirmed whether the yacht in question was chartered, borrowed, or purchased outright, nor has it clarified whether the champagne, the cash, or the general ambiance were procured through public funds.
When reached for comment, an HPMS spokesperson said only that "Travis is a valued member of our team and any suggestion of impropriety is, at this time, purely speculative," before declining three follow-up questions and hanging up.
